This was made at our house last weekend. This is Hawk petting one of our baby goats. We have 9 baby goats. They are so cute!!!
A BLOG ABOUT HAWK SMITH AND HIS FAMILY: Hawk was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, on 12/15/2005. He went Home to be with Jesus on 2/4/2007. This is about his 13 month illness and now it is a continuing story about the family that he left behind. We miss him and love him so much. A huge hole has been left in our family, but we must go on. Some days are good and some days are very sad. But he is with us every day in our hearts and memories

This is one of the clowns that were at the benefit. There were five clowns. This one kept the children entertained all night. Some of the others did face painting. There were four women clowns and one man clown. This is Sidney Blackburn and Breanna Smith with the clown.
pictures of them sitting on a table. Hawk and Skyla would have really enjoyed the bands and the clowns and the other children. Channel 17 was there and interviewed me, Jamie,
and Kayla.

on. Jamie and Hawk eating lunch at the aquarium. That's all of the ones of the aquarium. This day was beginning to be cloudy and looking like it might rain. And by the time we got out of the aquarium and got back to the van, it had begun to rain. But we found a place called The Fun Factory in Gatlinburg and everything was indoors. I will have pictures of it on the next post.

day morning. This is a picture of Aunt Tuesday and Hawk. Hawk was wanting to be cuddled for awhile after he ate breakfast. He is a sweet, precious little boy.

here they could go up in and it looked like they were in the aquarium. We had so much fun during these two days. But it is always in the back of my mind that Hawk has a very very serious illness and I am constantly praying that the Lord will take the tumor away.

Here are some pictures made on our trip to Gatlinburg on February 21-22. We had a great time. Jamie, Hawk, Kevin, Tuesday, Breanna, Mike and I went. We didn't take Skyla and Brooke because we felt like it would be easier to just take Hawk and Breanna.
These are pictures of Hawk and Breanna riding some of the rides. They had so much fun.

Notice both of the tongues out as they were running for the next ride. SO CUTE!!! We arrived on Tuesday afternoon and the weather was beautiful. It was very warm and sunny. We decided to go to the Nascar theme park in Pigeon Forge. There were very few people there. We almost had the whole park to ourselves. We bought some tickets to ride some of the rides, but then one of the employees told us that we could ride any of the rides as much as we wanted to. We believe that all of this was a blessing from God. The beautiful weather, the almost empty theme park, and the generosity of the employees. Jamie and Hawk rode the race cars and Tuesday and Breanna were in another one and Kevin was in one by himself. Jamie and Hawk won the race. Then we all rode the roller coaster. Breanna and Hawk rode some of the children's rides by themselves. And they rode the race cars again. Anyway, everyone had a great time.
We went in Kevin and Tuesday's mini van. They have DVD's players in the van. And Hawk and Breanna both insisted that Pa Pa Mike sit in the back with them. So he got to watch movies all the way up there and back. At one point, I looked back and Hawk had his head laying on one of Mike's shoulders and Breanna had her head on the other shoulder(both of them were asleep). That is what I call a very blessed man.
