These pictures were made last weekend at our house. My sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Warren Parker, were visiting from South Carolina. Hawk and Wanda found all of these candles ( I save numbered candles from year to year) and Hawk decided that he wanted a cake with all of the candles on it. So Warren went to Wal-Mart and bought a cake for Hawk and we put the candles on it and he blew all of them out.

Hawk had gotten off of the steroids, but had to go back on them last week because he was dragging his left foot again. He is taking 1 tablet a day now. He has taken his last radiation treatment. There will not be anymore radiation. He will have an MRI in about 5 weeks to see if the tumor has shrunken.

Last Friday night there was a great benefit in Hawk's honor at Watertown Hight School. When we first got there, he was not feeling too well because of the steroids, but he soon started feeling a lot better and started playing and having a good time. He really cheered up when Jamie got there. I am so proud of our family. They always support each other. Chris and Wanda and Kevin and Breanna (Tuesday was in Carthage working very hard on a Yard sale to benefit Jamie and Hawk),and Brooke was with a sitter. Mike and I, and Hawk's great-grandmother, Cathy Waddle and her husband, Derald Waddle and our good friends, Charlie and Frances Parson were there for Hawk's special night. Jamie saw a lot of his old friends from high school. A lot of them came over and said Hi to him and Hawk and offered their support. A friend of the family came all the way from Lawrence County with his family to be their because they are all praying for Hawk. There was a lot of good entertainment. Jason Meadows was there. The school children sang a special song just for Hawk.
Hawk and Breanna and Skyla were playing and having a great time with all of the rest of the children. He and Breanna are so close. They love each other so much.

Hawk started getting tired and wanted to leave and wanted to go home with us. On the way home he decided that he wanted a cheese biscuit. Mike said he didn't know where we could get a cheese biscuit at that time of the night. I said well we could stop at Four Winds Truck Stop. They would have cheese because they make cheeseburgers and they would have biscuits because they make breakfast. So we stopped there and they made Hawk a cheese biscuit.

This week Hawk has gone to Walt Disney World with Make A Wish Foundation. I'm sure he and Skyla are having a great time.

May God Bless each and everyone of you. Thanks to each and everyone who is praying for Hawk.

We found out last Wednesday that Mike has prostate cancer. He had test done on Monday and Tuesday to see if it had spread. Please pray that it has not. We will go back to the doctor this Friday the 10th to get the results of those tests. Thanks to everyone for all of the calls and prayers for him and Hawk.
